Wednesday’s clash of the Champions League qualifiers with Flora Tallinn started very well for Legia. After a brilliant rally, Bartosz Kapustka entered the list of shooters through half the pitch. It was only the third minute of the match.

The worst happened moments later. During the celebration of joy, Kapustka jumped up after the goal. While falling, he stood badly, and his face immediately felt a grimace of pain. After a while the player knew that it was the end of the match for him and in the seventh minute he left the field.

Czesław Michniewcz, Legia’s coach, did not hide after the match that there was no good news. – It doesn’t look very good. I talked to Bartek and the doctor who initially examined his knee. We have to reckon with the fact that Bartek will be missing for some time – he said in “Sports Evening” on TVP Sport.

Probably the Legia player tore the cruciate ligament in the knee. This could be fatal news for Legia, considering the rehabilitation time after such an injury.

In January last year, the cruciate ligament was broken by Krystian Bielik, who lost almost a whole year, and a few months ago a similar problem happened to Jacek Góralski, who, due to this injury, did not go to the European Championships.
