According to him, every citizen has the freedom to express opinions, including criticizing the government.
However, he continued, if the criticism like what WE did was tendentious and not objective, it could lead to a violation of the law.
“To the extent that viral coverage on social media is still at the level of criticism / statement of government policies and decisions, it is guaranteed by the constitution within the framework of freedom of opinion and cannot be categorized as provocative reporting,” he said.
However, said Indriyanto, if WE criticize / make statements against government policies or decisions or tendentious and non-objective statements, then this can be called a form of formal insult.
He gave an example of the criticisms / statements in question, including the accusation that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) violated the constitution by violating free and active politics, the government ignored the entry of the Chinese military on the grounds of foreign workers (TKA), and accusations of the emergence of a new style of PKI being ignored. government.
Another example is related to opinions that wrap as if freedom of opinion is a guarantee of the constitution, the culmination of which is the provocation of replacing the top leadership of the state carried out in ways as criticism / clear statements and the way is rough, not objective, disrespectful, not constructive, and not zakelijk by its very nature.
