Le Mans and Orléans before the Council of State

This Friday, June 26, the French Football Federation confirmed the decision of the Professional Football League to keep a Ligue 1 to 20 clubs for the next four seasons. And so, in fact, to keep a Ligue 2 with 20 clubs, propelling Orléans and Le Mans into National 1. The two relegated clubs decided to continue their fight before the courts and to claim a Ligue 2 for 22 clubs.

“Le Mans FC and US Orléans inform that the Council of State will hear the two clubs on Friday July 3 at 4 p.m. The hearing will focus on the format of a League 2 to 22 for the 2020-2021 season. A format in accordance with the FFF-LFP 2020-2024 agreement validated this morning ”, the two clubs said in a joint statement.
