Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – A Düsseldorf lawyer stands before the regional court on his own behalf.
The 39-year-old lawyer is accused of betrayal and infidelity. He defends himself against an eight-month suspended sentence and a fine of 1500 euros. He was sentenced to both in the first instance by the local court (Az .: 23 Ns 1/20).
The lawyer is said to have represented two different suspects in quick succession in criminal proceedings. He is also said to have kept a client’s funds amounting to 6,000 euros for himself and thus embezzled.
