Experts have chosen the best car of the year in Europe PHOTO

The European competition AUTOBEST 2023 has determined the winners. The Best Buy Car of Europe 2023 award went to Renault Austral.

The car received 14,937 points from the experts. This is much more than the second Opel Astra (13,986 points). Just 53 points fewer lifted the Peugeot 308 to third place.

“Our winner this year represents the next level of the Renault brand. It is the French manufacturer’s best product with high-quality materials, excellent ride quality, impressive design and perhaps the best connectivity technology available in cars today.

– The car features the E Tech full hybrid engine, one of our previous winners in the TECHNOBEST category. Out of this year’s six finalists, Austral managed to impress the majority of the judges,” says Dan Vardy, founder and manager of the AUTOBEST competition.

In November, AUTOBEST jury members tested the finalist cars at the OAMTC test center in Tisdorf, Austria.

At the same time, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 became the winner of the 2023 ECOBEST award. The new Hyundai model is a new electric car with a range of more than 600 km after charging.

“The ultra-aerodynamic ideas of the award-winning Hyundai Ioniq 6 take low-drag ideals to a new and different level,” says Vardy. According to him, the new smart Hyundai is a genuine technology car, which is fully deserved winner of ECOBEST 2023.

The AUTOBEST jury has decided not to award this year’s TECHNOBEST prize dedicated to classic automotive technology.

The AUTOBEST organization was founded in 2001. For a car to win AUTOBEST, it must represent the best offer for the majority of European customers. Price, dealer network, spare parts distribution and flexibility are the most important criteria in the voting process.

Design and new technologies are also becoming a deciding factor in voting. AUTOBEST uses a transparent voting system with a complex matrix of 13 criteria to determine the winner. /auto.blitz.bg
