Lawyer cousin Taghi wants another court for murder case Wiersum | Interior

André Seebregts asked Wednesday, during a first introductory session in the case against T., referral of the case to another court. According to him, the Amsterdam District Court is too involved with the victim Wiersum and therefore cannot judge the case independently enough.

According to Seebregts, Wiersum belonged to “the circle of business acquaintances of just about all Amsterdam criminal judges.” The murder of the Amsterdam lawyer has therefore had ‘more impact’ on the court there than elsewhere in the country. The Public Prosecution Service does not agree with Seebregts that the case should be dealt with by another court. According to the public prosecutor, the shock applies to the entire country, not just Amsterdam.

Extensive Marengo process

Wiersum assisted the key witness in the Marengo trial, Nabil B. The prime suspect in Marengo is Ridouan Taghi, who was arrested in Dubai in December. Marengo revolves around a series of liquidations in the underworld.
