Lawyer Calls for Sanction Against Cartist Senator for Alleged False Title – ABC Color

Ezequiel Santagada, is one of the lawyers who asked the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) to suspend the registration of the now indicted Cartist Senator Hernán Rivas. After learning of the prosecutor’s resolution, he said Rivas “is a pillory and a toll robber”. In addition to deserving a criminal or administrative sanction.

A lawyer who criticizes the conduct of the Chartist senator Hernán Rivas, referred to the accusation that came against the legislator for the supposed false title of lawyer. Ezequiel Santagada, as part of the group of lawyers who went to the Supreme Court of Justice to request that Rivas’ registration be canceled, maintained that the Prosecutor’s Office’s decision is the appropriate one.

He pointed out that that request from the Court did not advance. “It is important that it be annulled and that what is being investigated regarding his title be demonstrated with elements,” he emphasized. He considers that it is insulting to lawyers that a “scoundrel” and “toll boy” has the same recognition as those who really studied and sacrificed to be lawyers.

“It is unacceptable that someone without shame presents himself pretending to be something he is not. Citizens seek to ensure that there is no impunity that weakens patience,” she highlighted.

The case would not advance if it states that the case prescribed

For Santagada, there were notorious facts that made it evident that Rivas never attended a Law School. He asks the Public Ministry to investigate why there is a lack of documentation on the senator’s title.

“He will probably defend himself by alleging the statute of limitations of his case. Also that the expected sentence is 3 years, and that in the end everything comes to nothing,” he lamented.

He believes that there was complicity from more people and describes it as serious. “At a minimum, there should be a political sanction. We expect a sanction through criminal or administrative means,” he stressed.
