While the inspectors of the special unit seek to put together a pedophilia ring, they meet a man who describes fantasies of torture on little boys. They discover at his place a secret room, a torture chamber, and Barba decides to pursue him. But the man claims that everything is in the realm of fantasy and that he has never hurt anyone. The scientific team finds no evidence to the contrary. A trial without proof and without victims opens, asking a fundamental question concerning freedom: can one be sent to prison because of his thoughts?
