The city of Bordeaux, in the Gironde department, is calling on its residents to think about the city center of tomorrow by coming to participate in the forum launching the consultation concerning the development operation of the old center of the regional capital of New Aquitaine.

The meeting takes place at the Marché des Douves, 4 Rue des Douves, 33800 Bordeaux (Grande Salle des Etoiles), tomorrow, Tuesday October 17 – From 5 p.m.

A participatory approach for all residents of the Bordeaux city

The old center of Bordeaux has many attractions. Whether through its heritage, its neighborhoods, its facilities, its shops, its jobs, its strategic positioning in the heart of the metropolis or even its housing stock. On a daily basis, this sector attracts many residents, tourists, users and even workers.

Nevertheless, this city center is today experiencing development challenges linked to housing, economic dynamism or even the living environment and adaptation to climate change. Bordeaux Métropole and the City of Bordeaux are launching a collective and participatory to define the contours of a new project which will be implemented after 2025, to be able to respond to these challenges.

The first stage of this consultation consists of carrying out a “user” diagnosis through different systems (questionnaires / walks / etc.). Subsequently, other specific consultation mechanisms will make it possible to develop the project guide plan around three main themes (housing, economy and local life, living environment) and two transversal themes (climate change and heritage).
