laughs at a Cal Crutchlow crash and the rest of the pilots reply

Jorge Lorenzo is very active on Twitter since he announced he retired from motorcycles a year and a half ago. A few days ago the Mallorcan decided to analyze the MotoGP preseason, giving his impressions of what he saw in each rider on the grid, but it took little time to get his foot out of the pot again.

Lorenzo has responded with a “I told you so” to a post on the MotoGP Instagram in which it was announced that Cal Crutchlow, his replacement within the Yamaha test team, had suffered a fall. The responses of pilots such as Jack Miller or Aleix Espargaró have not been long in coming, recriminating the attitude of the five-time world champion.

Miller and Espargaró, very critical of Lorenzo for his attitude

During the 2020 season Jorge Lorenzo was Yamaha’s test rider, but he could barely test and when Valentino Rossi was absent due to COVID-19 it was Garrett Gerloff, Superbike rider, who replaced him. It all ended with what Yamaha dispensed with Lorenzo’s services to sign Crutchlow as a tester.

KTM faced with the big question: Can they win the MotoGP World Championship in 2021?

It was then that Jorge Lorenzo warned that Crutchlow was going to be a bad tester because he was a pilot who suffered many falls. Said and done, on the third day of the preseason the Briton went to the ground with the Yamaha, and Lorenzo has not hesitated to show his chest with an “I told you so” posted on the MotoGP Instagram account.

A comment that Crutchlow has not responded to, but other drivers have. The first, Jack Miller, a close friend of Crutchlow, who did not hesitate to tell Lorenzo: “How about you grow up buddy? Stop acting like a child.”. The official Ducati rider was not the only one to respond forcefully to Lorenzo.

So has Aleix Espargaró, the official rider of Aprilia, which was not that far from being Lorenzo’s home in 2021. “I’d rather be a good human being than a champion. I love you, Cal,” Espargaró has put on his social networks responding to an image of Lorenzo’s comment on Instagram.

Espargaró has received a response from Lorenzo. The Mallorcan told him that “it is better to be both, right? I assure you it is a wonderful feeling, I hope one day you can try it too!”. Lorenzo delves into the wound, since Espargaró has never won a race in any category of the world championship.

Lorenzo had been a calmer time in his social networks, participating in dance programs on television, but the return of MotoGP with the preseason seems to have reactivated him. If he complies with his proposal to be an analyst of the World Cup in his social networks, it seems difficult that this is the last puddle in which Jorge Lorenzo jumps fully.
