On March 12, in the “Voice of Lithuania” show, the Latvian Palū and the Ukrainian Nadia took to the stage of the Klaipeda Arena, performing the song “Sweet dreams” by the British group “Eurythmics”, allowing their performance to be evaluated by several hundred viewers in person and by the show’s jury, which had to decide which of the two singers will continue the show in the next round.

“When Nadia and I were united in one duet with the task of creating a joint performance, I immediately understood that it would be a very difficult test, because we had managed to become friends in the previous rounds of selection,” Palu says.

“We tried the song for the first time in person only a day before the performance. When we had to show it to the jury, both hands and legs were shaking, just like before the exam. When we sang it, there was a moment of silence and then the team started clapping. We had managed to surprise the team. The arena was so big! It was my first time performing on a stage like that, it was impressive! I really enjoyed the performance,” she says. After the performance, the jury expressed its assessment. Palu got the support of one mentor, but the rest of the team decided in favor of the Ukrainian Nadia going to the next round of the show.

“Of course I was very sad to leave the show just before the finale. I felt broken. I wrote a song right after because it was the only way I could express my emotions. We are working on it now with the team and I hope it will be out soon to a wider range of listeners! I will continue to work and create my musical path,” says Palu.
