Latest Mobile Phones Using 1-inch Camera Sensor Next: Oppo Find X6 Pro?

TIME.CO, Jakarta – Strong news though Oppo Find X6 The Pro will arrive as a successor to the Oppo Find X5 Pro with support for a 1-inch camera sensor. After last month’s Digital Chat Station, it’s Ice Universe’s turn to mention the leak that the taller version of the Find X6 (possibly Pro) will use a 1-inch Sony IMX989 camera sensor.

The sensor specs are complemented by another DCS leak which claims the Find X6 Pro will use three 50MP cameras on the rear. The three are the main, ultrawide and telephoto cameras. The vanilla version is said to keep the main and ultrawide 50MP camera, but swap the telephoto camera for a 32MP unit.

The 32MP telephoto camera has also increased from the 13MP of the Oppo Find X5 Pro which was released in Indonesia last June. This phone has been around globally since February. I have a Mari Silicon X supported camera system and two Sony IMX766 sensors, this phone is priced at Rp 14.999 million.

For the record, the Oppo Find X6 Pro won’t be the first smartphone to feature a 1-inch camera sensor. Xiaomi 12S Ultra already used before and released at the beginning of last July. In collaboration with Leica, Xiaomi has made a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main, 48MP telephoto lens and 48MP ultrawide.

Right now, that 1-inch size is the largest of the phone’s camera sensors. Sony competes with The Sharp Aquos R6 in Japan and the better known Sony Xperia Pro-I, but apparently less sold than the Aquos R6.
