A house fire in Bojonggede, Bogor Regency, West Java (West Java), killed two people. The victims are siblings with the initials R (23) and A (15).
“That’s right (brothers and sisters) 1 KK (head of the family),” said the Head of the Bojonggede Police AKP Dwi Susanto, in his statement, Thursday (26/1/2023).
Fire The incident occurred in a house in Pabuaran Village, Bojonggede District, Bogor, on Thursday (26/1) at around 09.30 WIB. The cause and chronology of the house fire are not yet known.
The two victims are known to be disabled persons with speech impairments. When the fire was extinguished, the family found the two victims hugging each other. They suffered serious burns.
They were found lying on the bed in the room. Both were evacuated after residents worked hard to extinguish it fire.
The head of the local RT, Suswoko, received information from a resident named Diah that one of his residents’ houses caught fire.
“Then, Mr. Suswoko checked the truth of the information and it turned out to be true. Next, he tried to extinguish it with the help of residents,” said Dwi.
After finding the victim, the RT head then contacted Babinkamtibmas, Pabuaran sub-district. Babinkamtibmas then notified the picket officers to check the TKP.
“After the fire was extinguished, it turned out that there were 2 victims inside. Then Mr. Suswoko contacted the Pabuaran Urban Village Babinkamtibmas,” said Dwi.
The victim was immediately rushed to Citama Pabuaran Hospital. But the lives of these brothers and sisters could not be helped.
“At 14.00 WIB, the victim was declared dead at Citama Hospital. Both victims are persons with disabilities,” he said.
