The situation with the supply of weapons has improved significantly, but problems with the MLRS and aviation still need to be addressed.
Ukraine needs multiple rocket launchers and aviation. On Friday, May 13, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said this at a meeting with representatives of the G7 countries, which is taking place in Germany.
At the same time, he noted improvements in the supply of weapons in recent times.
“The situation with the supply of weapons has improved significantly, the supply of howitzers from the United States and some European countries is very helpful,” the Foreign Minister said.
At the same time, according to Kuleba, there are two big problems that still need to be solved. The first is the supply of MLRS multiple launch rocket systems. The minister added that negotiations are underway with representatives of the G7 on the possibility of allocating these systems to the Ukrainian military.
“The second gap that needs to be filled is aviation. This has become a big story over the past 2.5 months and the issue remains unresolved,” Kuleba said.
However, he added that, unlike the issue with MLRS, an immediate solution to this problem is not expected.
