Krzysztof Zalewski gave an interview to Wirtualna Polska, in which he admitted that his performance at the Fryderyk award gala was very spontaneous. When the verdict was announced that he was the author of the year, he kissed Ralph Kaminski on the lips in a fit of euphoria. In this way, he supported the LGBT + communities. Except that he also delivered a joke, which he bluntly “greeted” the ruling party and the Confederation from the stage.
Absolute spontaneity! I must admit that I really wanted the award in the “author of the year” category, very prestigious in my opinion, so when it was announced that I had received it, I was in a real euphoria. I kissed Ralph Kaminski with joy, and then, as I said from the stage, as the “author of the year”, I wanted to say something original, so I thought of this joke, completely invented while you wait. (…) Well, I have the impression that what I said is self-explanatory and there is no need to add anything or comment here – the musician began.
When asked if artists should take a position on political matters, he admitted that it was an individual decision of each citizen. He himself decided to take the opportunity and referred to the slogan that stood out during this year’s Women’s Strike.
These are individual decisions about who I am, to impose anything on someone or to say what to do. I have the impression that every citizen concerned with the fate of the country should have a position on important issues. Whether he is a baker, bricklayer, secretary or pop star. But the fact is that we, artists, can present our views on a wider forum than bakers, bricklayers and secretaries – said Zalewski.
The musician in social media regularly shows his support towards rainbow communities discriminated against in our country. Opposes the government’s view that people of different sexual orientation are ideology.
