Krispy Kreme store closes on the island for coronavirus-positive

Krispy Kreme Donuts announced the closure of their Mayagüez store after an employee tested COVID-19 positive.

The company reported in written statements that after learning about the employee’s diagnosis, he asked all workers at the establishment to undergo the coronavirus test and remain in their homes for the next 14 days.

Store employees and managers will continue to earn their wages during the observation period.

The Mayagüez store will remain closed while undergoing a cleaning and disinfection process.

“All products, materials, and packaging that were in this store at the time will be preventively discarded,” the company said. At the time the store is reopened, it will be operated by employees of other stores that have not been in contact with its original equipment, it was specified.
