The rumor mill about Ö3 presenter Robert Kratky is simmering again. The 48-year-old was recently asked on Instagram whether he would like to apply as ORF director general. “Uhhhhh … NO”, laughs Kratky heartily and adds with a wink and a broad grin: “I’m going to be Federal President.”

A job change could actually be pending for the moderator soon. Kratky is not supposed to become Federal President, but the post of Ö3 boss is under discussion. The search for the new management is now beginning under the designated ORF General Director Roland Weißmann. Applications must be at Weißmann’s table by September 9th, and the new ORF boss will propose his selection to the Board of Trustees on September 16.
