KPK preventing two people from traveling abroad in the midst of investigating a case of alleged fictitious investment corruption at PT Taspen. One of the people prevented by the Corruption Eradication Commission was named the inactive Main Director of PT Taspen (Persero), Antonius NS Kosasih.
This information was obtained by detikcom from various trusted sources. Apart from Kosasih, another person who was prevented by the Corruption Eradication Commission from traveling abroad was Ekiawan Heri Primaryanto as the Managing Director of PT Insight Investments Management.
There are already suspects
Head of KPK News, Ali Fikri, said that this case had moved to the investigation stage. Ali revealed that currently the KPK is completing evidence.
“It’s true, following up on public reports regarding alleged corruption which is under the authority of the Corruption Eradication Commission, currently the process of collecting evidence is underway regarding the investigation into alleged corruption in fictitious investment activities at PT Taspen (Persero) for FY 2019 involving other companies,” said Ali.
Ali has not revealed who the suspect is in this case. Ali said that his party would announce it to the public through a press conference.
“The construction of the case that ensnares the parties named as suspects, including anyone who is a suspect, cannot be announced to the public until we consider that all stages of collecting evidence are sufficient,” said Ali.
Hundreds of Billions of State Losses
Ali said the alleged state losses in this case reached hundreds of billions of rupiah. The exact figure for state losses is still being calculated.
“The state financial losses resulting from this procurement reached hundreds of billions of rupiah and the process of calculating the real value of the losses is underway,” he said.
The KPK has also searched the PT Taspen office, houses and apartments in Jakarta. From the search, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) confiscated documents and foreign currency.
