Korea wins India Open Badminton Men’s Doubles India’s Satwik Sairaj defeated Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty in the final. The world champion duo of Kang Min Hyuk and Seo Seong Jae became the champions with the score of 21-15, 11-21, 18-21 in the fight that lasted for one hour and five minutes.

The Indian pair got off to a good start against the world champions in the final held in Delhi. Repeated mistakes later backfired. Asian Games and Commonwealth Games gold medalists Satwik-Chirag lost to Kang-Seo 21-15, 11-21, 18-21 in the final which lasted one hour and five minutes.

The dream of the Satwik-Chirag combination of India Open title for the second time was shattered. The Indian pair had won the India Open title in 2022. Apart from Satwik-Chirag, no Indian pair has ever won the men’s doubles title at the India Open. Satwik-Chirag had earlier lost in the Malaysia Open 2024 final as well.

Earlier, China’s Shi Yu Qi defeated Hong Kong’s Lee Cheuk Yiu to win the men’s singles title. On the other hand, Chinese Taipei’s Tai Su Ying won the women’s singles title by defeating China’s Chen Yu Fei.
