“Kischmisch”: Company counters AFD hostilities

The AfD Eimsbüttel has racistly attacked an Afghan grocer on Facebook. He responded with an ironic dig.

“Dear AfD Hamburg-Eimsbüttel, we have to talk,” writes the Afghan food company kishish on his social media channels. “We forbid [uns]to exploit our name and our mother for your political ends.”

The online retailer from Königswinter in North Rhine-Westphalia, which sells Persian and Afghan food, is reacting to a Facebook post by the Eimsbüttel district group. In it, the AfD had an advertising image of kishish shared and wrote: “We want Hamburg to remain Hamburg and not become Kabul.”

It is not the first time that the AfD district faction has spread racist hostilities on Facebook.

Brawl on Facebook

On May 21, the AfD Eimsbüttel shared a Facebook post by kishish, in which it advertises dried fruits and nuts from Afghanistan. A woman wearing a headscarf can be seen in the picture with a heart-shaped Afghan flag next to her. The company refers to its online shop with the words “Discover Afganistan”.

The AfD writes: “It’s interesting what advertising we see on Facebook. If we want to ‘discover Afghanistan’, all we have to do is go to Billstedt.” A few minutes later, the shopkeepers replied: “We’re glad you’re showing so much sympathy. Germany remains colorful and will always remain colorful.” Behind this is a heart emoji and a request not to delete the comment. The Eimsbüttel News says kishish-Owner Nasratullah Kushkaki, other comments were deleted by the AfD. Probably because of this: “We got a lot of likes and encouragement.”

AfD Eimsbüttel: Racist attacks on Facebook

On the same evening, the AfD parliamentary group responded with the question “roughly as colourful?”. A link follows that goes to a Bild– Article forwards. It is about a “knife attack” in Winterhude. The suspect is believed to be from Somalia.

Xenophobic comparisons, discriminatory conclusions: the AfD faction keeps sharing their racist views on Facebook. Only last September did the Lenzsiedlung fall victim to the hostilities.

“Kischmisch” counters with an ironic dig

Why did the parliamentary group target a grocer from near Bonn? Probably by accident. “We have many followers from Hamburg,” says owner Kushkaki. The company writes to the AfD on Facebook and Instagram: “You were definitely looking for premium nuts and came across us.”

The statement ends grocer with a discount code – also for the AfD. After all, everyone should be able to afford Afghan nuts.
