[OSEN=장우영 기자] King Hyeonjong of the ‘Khitan War of Goryeo’ makes an important decision for Goryeo’s victory.
In the 11th episode of KBS2’s epic drama ‘Goryeo Khitan War’ (written by Lee Jeong-woo, directed by Jeon Woo-seong, Kim Han-sol, produced by Monster Union and Viv Studios), a special project for the 50th anniversary of the public broadcasting service broadcast on the 16th, Hyeonjong (Kim Dong-jun), after much deliberation, agrees to Kang Gam-chan’s (Choi Soo-jong) Mongjin. Decline the offer and make the final choice.
In this day’s broadcast, King Hyeonjong falls into despair after hearing the news that Tak Sa-jeong (Jo Sang-gi) abandoned Seo Gyeong-seong and fled, and Ji Chae-moon (Han Jae-young) was surrounded by the Khitan army. The ministers insisted that King Hyeonjong surrender before the Khitan army captured Gaegyeong, while Gang Gam-chan argued that he should leave Mongjin for victory, creating a tense confrontation.
The still released ahead of the 11th broadcast shows Hyeonjong sitting alone on the dragon podium. He catches people’s attention with his upright posture and unwavering eyes, as if he has made an important decision.
Meanwhile, Yang Hyeop visits Kang Gam-chan with a royal seal box and a decree wrapped in a cloth. Kang Gam-chan’s violently shaking eyes and Yang Hyeop’s sobbing expression suggest that an unusual incident has occurred.
Next, Gang Gam-chan and Hwang Bo-yu-eui rush to Jeongjeon and finally face King Hyeonjong. However, Kang Gam-chan cannot contain his astonishment as if he is faced with a sudden reality, and his eyes are red, raising curiosity about what really happened to King Hyeonjong.
