[아이뉴스24 이도영 기자] Some regulations and procedures of the’Cancer Control Act’, a cancer-causing factor management project of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, will be revised and implemented on April 8, 2021. The revised’Cancer Management Act’ aims to provide support and management for cancer survivors who are experiencing complex difficulties such as physical and mental after treatment.
As a result, the’Cancer Survivor Integration Support Center’, which is operated by a higher level hospital, should be obligated to have specialized and dedicated personnel to track and manage cancer patients more professionally.
Kinecare Service, developed by UTI Infra, is a customized nutrition management service for cancer patients, which analyzes the patient’s nutritional status as data and issues a report to provide a service tool to ensure that nutrition is well managed. Kinecare service has signed an MOU with advanced general hospitals and some cancer survivors integration support centers and has been providing the service free of charge for several years.
It provides a non-face-to-face service suitable for the untact era that has arrived due to the coronavirus through an update that communicates with the working-level staff in the field.
Since the existing nutrition management app analyzes nutrients such as carbohydrates, protein, and fat, it was not possible to know how much food cancer patients need to consume. The Kinecare app provides optimal nutritional intake information to patients by using six food groups if the patient directly inputs disease information and personal nutrition information. Through this, the patient can easily manage customized meals in daily life, and the patient’s hospital education can be safely performed at home.
