JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un received a basket of flowers from President Joko Widodo for the 72nd anniversary of North Korea.
President Jokowi also congratulated the 72nd anniversary of the founding of North Korea.
“Allow me to convey to His Majesty and the people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the establishment of the DPRK on September 9, 2020,” said Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as reported by KCNA, Wednesday (23/9/2020).
On this occasion the President Jokowi also believes North Korea can overcome the Covid-19 pandemic that is currently sweeping the world. I am sure that the spirit of the anniversary will strengthen the efforts of the government and the DPRK people to overcome the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, “he added.
Besides, President Jokowi affirmed its commitment to strengthening cooperation between Indonesia and North Korea for the benefit of both States as well as peace in the Region and its environs.
