Killed gang leader and accomplice who covered him up

The mystery surrounding the disappearance of “Trico”, leader of the Valbom Gang – responsible for dozens of violent assaults in the North Zone in 2006 – has now been solved by the Porto Judiciary Police.

Fernando Borges, 38, was murdered in July 2008 by Rui Amorim, a triple homicide recently sentenced to 11 years for drug trafficking. He took advantage of a precarious five-day trip in 2018 to kill “Trico” and eliminate Eduardo Costa.

Eduardo was a registered person for homicide who helped Amorim in an attempt to hide the murder of “Trico”. He was killed for being the only witness who could link him to the crime. Settlements related to drug trafficking will be responsible for the homicides.
