Kerala Surges in Medal Table at National Games with Strong Performance in New Events

Kerala overcame its lagging behind in the medals table, including in athletics, and climbed up the medal table at the National Games. Yesterday, on the first day of the Kalaripayat competition, which was included in the National Games for the first time, the Kerala players bagged 11 golds. With two more golds in kayaking and one silver in judo yesterday, Kerala moved from ninth to sixth in the medal table.
