The year 2023 has become truly triumphant for the Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Maguchikh, who competes in the high jump sector. The 22-year-old native of Dnepr won gold at the World Championships in Budapest and also became the winner of the Diamond League.
Yaroslava’s successes attracted the attention of the media, and in October her photo graced the cover of a magazine Vogue Ukraine Edition. In an interview with the publication, the athlete said that she is not going to stop there and dreams of bringing Ukraine a gold medal at the Olympic Games in Paris next year.
In addition, Yaroslava, in a conversation with reporters, made a frank admission about the history of the Tokyo Olympics, when she took a photo with Russian high jumper Maria Lasitskene, which was followed by a sharp reaction from Ukrainian fans.
The athlete said that she respects the opinions of her compatriots, and that episode will remain with her forever.

Yaroslava’s personal record is 2.06 m. That is, only 4 cm separates her from her cherished dream.
Let us remind you that at the World Championships in Budapest, Maguchikh won with a result of 2.01 m. In the final of the Diamond League, the Ukrainian jumped 2.03 m.
