Keleher’s legal representative affirms that “he will not cooperate” with the Justice

María Domínguez, legal representative of the former Secretary of Education, Julia Keleher, said that although the former official is in a position to collaborate with justice, it will not cooperate because that term implies another connotation.

“Julia Keleher would provide any information she had of criminal conduct because I understand that she is a woman of law and order,” Dominguez explained in the program Playing Hard Ball.

He said that Keleher is in a position to “collaborate”, but will not “cooperate with justice, because cooperation implies something else, implies a person who is accused, is guilty and as part of that transaction cooperates to decrease his sentence.”

“With the short time that this accusation has had, I can say categorically that there are serious, serious, serious false representations and allegations in that accusation that if a grand jury had known it, it is very possible that he has derailed that accusation,” Dominguez said.

The lawyer clarified that Keleher was not arrested, but instead surrendered through coordination with federal authorities and her office.

He was imposed a bond “with his signature”, so there was no money or person involved in the bond.

“She is left without the ability to work, maintain and generate an income, in addition to that, her reputation is tainted although she has not been convicted of anything,” Dominguez said.

Keleher’s trial for the first accusation is scheduled for May 4. Although it was requested to change the jurisdiction judgment has not yet been determined.
