“Kåss til kvelder Wins Best Entertainment Program at Gullruten 2023 Awards”

12. May 2023 22:27 – Updated May 12, 2023 10:27 p.m

The program Kåss til kvelder ran away with the award for best entertainment program during the Gullruten awards in Bergen. NRK journalist Sidsel Wold received the honorary award.

All against all on Discovery, Every time we meet and Maskorama were the other nominees in the entertainment category. The statuette was the penultimate award presented on Friday.

The award is Kåss’s second for the evening in the Gullruten context. In 2021, Else Kåss Furuseth won the award for best presenter in entertainment.

In addition, the series has previously been nominated in the category for best entertainment program under Gullruten in 2021 and 2022.

The first episode of the talk show with Kåss Furuseth and Markus Neby was broadcast on 29 February 2020. On 4 March this year, the popular program ended. The reason was financial cuts at NRK and low electricity rates.

Each episode in 2023 had ratings of between 480,000 and 620,000, according to NRK which received over 220 complaints about the closure of the program.

This week it became known that Kåss Furuseth is leaving NRK and going to TV Norge after three years at Marienlyst. With his new employer, the 42-year-old will, among other things, have his own talk show.

The Gullruten celebrates 25 years this year, and the prizes were awarded in the Grieghallen in Bergen. Radio and TV profile Niklas Baarli led the show, which ended with NRK journalist Sidsel Wold receiving the honorary award.

– It was a big surprise. I am enormously grateful for this, I am very fond of people no matter where they are in the world. It is important to bring perspectives, said the 64-year-old from the stage.

Wold has been the state channel’s correspondent in the Middle East for two periods and has been employed by the channel since 2000.
