Armenia accused the armed forces of Azerbaijan of violating the line of demarcation in the zone of responsibility of the “Russian peacekeeping mission” on March 24 and the capture of the village of Parukh in the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

This is stated in Armenian Foreign Ministry statement.

In this regard, Armenia expects that “the peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation will take measures to ensure the immediate withdrawal of the invading units of the Azerbaijani armed forces from the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, which should mean the return of the Azerbaijani units to their original positions as of March 23.”

The unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic stated that after the capture of the village of Parukh, on the night of March 25, Azerbaijani units opened fire on units of the defense army, using both various-caliber small arms and strike UAVs, the Armenian service reports. “Radio Liberty”.

According to the unrecognized republic, at least 5 Azerbaijani servicemen were allegedly killed as a result, and one from the Armenian side was wounded.

According to the Armenian service of Radio Liberty, for security reasons, women and children of the Khramort community neighboring Parukh were evacuated.

Previously in the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan refuted aggravation of the situation “on the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily deployed.”

“Positions and places of deployment are being clarified at the points, no clashes or incidents have occurred. Armenian sources deliberately distort and escalate the situation. The goal is to create an atmosphere of panic, mislead the public and direct them in the wrong direction. There are no reasons for concern and There is no unrest,” the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.

On March 25, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry accused Armenia of “hysteria”, reports Report.az.

“According to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, the positions and locations of the Azerbaijani army are being clarified, so there are no reasons for hysteria. The Armenian side is engaged in disinformation, artificially inflating the problem,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Recall, as UNIAN wrote, after the start of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, Moscow deployed part of the “peacekeeping” contingent from Nagorno-Karabakh (Azerbaijan) to Ukraine.
