Chairman of PSI who is also the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Parangeptalks about the opportunity to become Governor of Central Java.
He made this statement when asked by the host of Car Free Day with Plate K Volunteers for the Optimist Generation. The presenter asked Kaesang’s willingness if the residents nominated him as governor.

Kaesang answered, “Well, not at all (Yes, that’s okay).”
Then the host asked Kaesang’s wife, Erina Gudono, the same thing. He asked for Erina’s support if the people encouraged Kaesang to become a candidate for governor.
“Let’s take Central Java Province, for example, as governor. This is an example, for example, what form of support do you think Mba Erina would take?” said the host.
“Supported from all aspects, continued prayers for moral support and suggestions too, everything is good for Mas Kaesang,” said Erina.
Previously, Kaesang was rumored to be a candidate for mayor of Depok. LaluKaesang made the issue a gimmick in a podcast on his YouTube account.
Then he surprised the public by joining PSI in September 2023. Two days later, on September 25 to be precise, Kaesang was immediately appointed as general chairman.
