KOMPAS.com- A man with the initials SU is reported to have done extortion against women from Simpang Empat District, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Borneo (South Kalimantan).
Of these victims, it was reported that the loss reached Rp 1.3 billion.
It turned out that the perpetrator, who was a resident of Bumi Restu Village, Abung Surakarta District, North Lampung Regency, Lampung, claimed to be a member of the police force to carry out the action.

In his introduction, SU admitted that he was a member of the police force until the victim was finally interested.
Their relationship continues by exchanging cellphone numbers.
From there the perpetrators take advantage of the intensity of their relationship to blackmail the victim.

Initially IDR 1 million
Kasat Reskrim Tanah Bumbu Police AKP Andi Muhammad Iqbal said the perpetrator initially borrowed Rp. 1 million from the victim.
“The perpetrator borrowed money on the pretext of repairing the perpetrator’s car for Rp. 1,000,000 and the victim sent it to the perpetrator,” said AKP Andi Muhammad Iqbal when confirmed, Monday (17/8/2020) night.
After successfully borrowing money, the perpetrator then launched an action of extortion.
SU threatened that the victim would use force if she did not give money.
“The victim was asked for money several times by the perpetrator with different numbers continuously and carried out extortion and threats against the victim,” he explained.

This was revealed after the victim reported the blackmail against him.
The police also identified the perpetrator who turned out to be only fake cop
“Due to this incident the victim suffered a loss of approximately Rp. 1,300,000,000 and then the victim reported the incident to the Tanah Bumbu Police,” he said.
The police pursued the four perpetrators and coordinated with the Lampung Metro Police.
After being arrested, they confessed to their actions.
“We bring all the perpetrators to the Tanah Bumbu Police for further legal proceedings,” he said.
