Orlando City beat Atlanta United 3-1 this Saturday, during the debut of Mexican Jurgen Damm with the coach’s team Stephen Glass. Damm played the last minutes of the game, after entering as a change in the second half, while Erick Torres started the game on the bench.
Orlando took the lead in the 13th minute. Júnior Urso headed in from the center of the area with an assist from Chris Mueller and made it 1-0 in favor of the visitors. The Florida team increased the lead to 35 ‘, it was Mueller who scored the second goal with a serve from Benji Michel.
Cubo Torres left the bench in the complementary part, at 60 ‘, replacing Adam Jahn.
Atlanta approached 83 ‘, with a goal from Brooks Lennon, for which he received service from Mexican Jurgen Damm in his debut with, at 79’, as a change from Eric Remedi; but neither he nor Torres had enough time for Atlanta to sign the comeback.
At 86 ‘, Orlando cooled any chance of the rival with a score of Nani that sealed the victory 3-1.
Before the match, players from both teams dropped to one knee and raised their fists in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
