German-Mexican
Jürgen Damm and the Mexican top club Tigres UANL go their separate ways after five years. The 27-year-old striker will transfer to Atlanta United FC in the North American MLS after his contract has expired.
Atlanta claims to pay $ 50,000 in allocation money because Houston Dynamo previously secured Discovery Rights to Damm. This means that Houston had previously signaled interest in a commitment to the MLS. In US football, players are not under contract with the clubs, but with the league.
Damm, who has run for Mexico twelve times in his career and has a German grandfather, won four championship titles with the Tigres. In 172 competitive games, the fast attacker scored 13 goals and 23 assists.
He’s a winner, he’s electric and now he’s a member of the 5-Stripes.
