According to the media release, the past year was extremely unstable for the Adelboden-Lenk-Kandersteg tourism organization. In addition to the entire board of directors, the long-standing tourism director also resigned in August. The new Board of Directors has therefore emphasized from the outset that it wants to bring calm to the organization.

Now he has set further course for the future. Dominique Lüthy becomes the new managing director. Since February 2020 he has been in charge of the marketing and sales department of the tourism organization. The 46-year-old business economist has many years of experience in the field of digital/marketing and has developed this area for the destination over the past two years.

As those responsible continue to state in the broadcast, Lüthy will be supported by three members of the management in the future. On the one hand, Sandro Rubin for finance, human resources and IT. The business administration graduate has been with the tourism organization since March. On the other hand, Sarah Oester-Künzi and Corinne von Bergen for tourism. You would take on this management role in a co-management role.

Former tourist center manager

Oester-Künzi brings many years of destination knowledge to the management, after all she was the manager of the tourist center in Adelboden for ten years and has since worked in the field of tourism development. The board of directors is convinced that Corinne von Bergen rounds off the quartet perfectly. The tourism specialist has been running the Tourist Center Frutigen for almost four years. “We are very pleased with this solution,” emphasizes René Müller, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “The new management team has worked very well together over the last few months and has driven key projects forward.”

What kind of organization is this?

The Adelboden-Lenk-Kandersteg tourism organization is one of the six destinations in the canton of Bern and is responsible for tourism development, marketing and guest information. With over 1.8 million overnight stays, it is one of the most important alpine destinations in Switzerland.
