President Sebastián Piñera appointed Juan Eduardo Prieto as the new Mayor of the Maule Region, replacing Pablo Milad, who left the position at the beginning of the month to apply to the ANFP.
Through a statement, it was highlighted that Prieto worked as seremi of Social Development and Family in the region, and who previously was the Head of Corporate Projects and Territorial Coordinator of Corfo’s Innovation Agenda.
After learning about the appointment, Prieto said that “first of all, I would like to thank President Sebastián Piñera for his trust in me, to which I will respond with great effort, with a social stamp, to improve the quality of life for all Maul, but especially for the families that need it most today, even more because of the consequence we are experiencing from this Covid health emergency. “
Prieto is a commercial engineer from the Andrés Bello University and has a degree in marketing from the Catholic University.
