In a shocking turn of events, Jonathan Majors, known for his prominent role in the popular series “Lovecraft Country,” is facing further allegations of abuse. Majors was recently found guilty of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Now, two additional ex-girlfriends have come forward, as well as female members of the “Lovecraft Country” production team, with similar allegations of abusive behavior.

Jonathan Majors’ Ex-Fiancee Alleges Emotional and Physical Abuse

Emma Duncan, who was engaged to Majors from 2015 to 2019, has accused the actor of emotional and physical abuse during their relationship. Duncan alleges that Majors choked her, threw her around, and caused her physical harm. She further claims that he made disturbing threats, including threats of murder and of rendering her incapable of having children. However, Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, denies these allegations, stating that Majors did not physically abuse Duncan or make any threats of violence. Chaudhry acknowledges that the couple had intense arguments but attributes these conflicts to their toxic relationship and Majors’ lifelong depression. Chaudhry also alleges that Duncan was physically violent towards Majors on several occasions.

Former Yale School of Drama Student Accuses Majors of Emotional Abuse

Maura Hooper, who dated Majors from 2013 to 2015 while they were both attending the Yale School of Drama, has also accused Majors of emotional abuse. Hooper claims that Majors became jealous and verbally abusive during their relationship. She alleges that Majors threatened to take his own life when she discovered his affair. After their breakup, Hooper received a traumatizing phone call from Majors, during which he allegedly made derogatory statements and referenced a past abortion. Chaudhry acknowledges that Majors expressed embarrassment over his jealous behavior during the relationship but claims that he does not recall the specific hurtful things he said.

On-Set Misconduct

The investigations into Majors’ conduct also uncovered allegations of his confrontational behavior towards women on the set of “Lovecraft Country.” One assistant director claims that Majors made her feel unwelcome during the production, while another accused him of crossing physical boundaries and using derogatory language. Majors’ lawyer argued that he has always been professional and had never received any complaints before. However, three women in the entertainment industry voiced their concerns about Majors’ behavior. After pressure from HBO, Majors reluctantly issued an apology.
