VIVA – The name of the Minister of Health, Dr. Terawan Agus Putranto has recently returned to the spotlight, after his performance was criticized by President Jokowi. At a recent cabinet meeting held in Bogor, West Java, the President alluded to the COVID-19 handling budget of Rp75 trillion.
Of that amount, said Jokowi, only 1.53 percent has been used. He asked all of his staff, including the Minister of Health, to move quickly and not assume that this was just a normal condition.
“Payment of hospital claims can be as soon as possible, incentives for medical personnel as soon as possible, incentives for lab workers as soon as possible. What are we waiting for, the budget already exists, “he said.
Brainwashing doctor
Previously, the name of Dr. Terawan had already become a public conversation. While serving as minister, he often made controversial comments, such as COVID-19 patients being cured without treatment to their innuendo for people who use face mask.
Before becoming a minister, Terawan was known as a doctor who practiced brainwashing, to cure patients suffering from diseases stroke. His profession as a doctor, made him famous and was appointed as the Head of the Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital.

Dr. Terawan’s life is far from difficult. Quoted VIVA Automotive from 100kpj, Monday, June 29, 2020, when he was appointed Minister of Health, he reported to the Corruption Eradication Commission to have a wealth of Rp90.6 billion.
The contents of the garage are also not cheap. Starting from the Lexus RX200t for Rp1.1 billion, up to Toyota Alphard with two units with a price tag of Rp1.6 billion and Rp800 million respectively.
