Joins in Discussing Sadio Mane’s Transfer, Del Piero Highlights One Thing

Jakarta

Sadio Mane will be in uniform Bayern Munich next season after Liverpool agreed to let go. This transfer makes for a fine transaction, but there are still things to highlight.

Sadio Mane is Bayern Munich’s main target this summer. After two initial offers were rejected by Liverpool, Die Roten came up with a third proposal which was eventually accepted.

Mane’s move is expected to be completed soon, given the player from Senegal is believed to already have an agreement with Bayern. There were indications that Mane would be released himself, with Liverpool previously bringing in Darwin Nunez from Benfica, who was immediately suspected of being prepared as a replacement.

But rumors of Mane’s own transfer have emerged since after the Champions League final. After Liverpool lost to Real Madrid in that match, Mane reportedly expressed his intention to leave and Bayern’s name has immediately appeared in various rumors.

Former top Italian striker Alessandro Del Piero also talked about this transaction, which he said was good for all parties. Liverpool did not concede and could prepare a replacement in advance, because Mane had informed his intention beforehand.

“The good thing about this transaction is the fact that all parties know in advance what has to be done. So, Sadio wants to leave,” Del Piero told ESPN reported by the Liverpool Echo.

“They (Bayern) talked to Liverpool and everything was okay, and Liverpool immediately got a replacement. That’s a good part of this transaction. Some people might prefer this new player over the old one.”

“But if I still prefer to stay with the same players if they perform well, I don’t want to change that much. But yes, this is a good transaction for all parties,” added the legendary Juventus striker.

Mane was a pillar of Liverpool for six seasons, winning the Premier League, Premier League Cup, FA Cup, Champions League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup. He scored 120 goals in 269 appearances in all competitions.
