The flag football division of USC Lübeck eV is hosting a tryout on February 18, 2024, which will take place between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The event on the Homefield opens its doors to anyone aged 15 and over who would like to experience flag football – a sport that requires less physical contact than traditional American football but still requires a high level of strategy, teamwork and physical conditioning.
“Our main goal is to attract new talent to our ever-growing division and at the same time bring flag football to a wider audience,” said player-coach Alexander Osiik. In total, USC Lübeck has registered three flag football teams for 2024. In addition to the Bundesliga team Lübeck Flag Cougars (DFFL1), Lübeck Flag Cougars II and Northern Storm (women) will also be chasing points in the regional league.
The focus is on promoting new talent with the aim of developing athletes who can potentially participate in the Olympic Games 2028 could participate.
