The role of European courts in Northern Ireland and the transfer of sovereignty that London accepted with Brexit have now emerged as unaffordable issues for British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who threatens not to implement part of the agreement in force since January if not it is renegotiated.
The European Union (EU) has offered to reduce by 80% the merchandise controls agreed in Northern Ireland, which for months had been perceived as the main inconvenience for the British side.
