The reason is, Yasonna did not attend the agenda meeting to listen to the Final Opinion of the Mini Faction as a Final Attitude (Refuse Or Accept) the Draft Bill on the Establishment of Perppu Number 2 of 2020 Concerning the Third Amendment to Law Number 1 Year 2015 concerning the Determination of Perppu Number 1 of 2014 concerning the Election of the Governor, Regent , and the Mayor becomes the Government’s Final Law and Opinion.
The government representative was only attended by Minister of Home Affairs General (Ret) Tito Karnavian.
House of Representatives Commission II member Johan Budi SP stated that this issue was not a matter of the Menkumham Yasonna required or not present at a meeting to discuss the Perppu.
“(First) it’s a matter of commitment. Second, about the authority of Commission II. We (Commission II) do not have the authority to be harassed like this, there is no clarity, “Johan said in a meeting chaired by House of Representatives Commission II Chairman Ahmad Doli Kurnia Tandjung, Monday (6/29).
The former head of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that in fact the one who asked to postpone the 2020 Simultaneous Local Election and it was decided to be held on December 9, 2020 was the government.
“It means, if the person who asks does not have a commitment, I think there needs to be a firm attitude, too,” he said.
