Friday, August 21, 2020 is a milestone date for all Jen and Brad fans. The couple who marked an entire generation will rise from its ashes for a good cause. Indeed, the two stars agreed to lend themselves to the reading of a filmed scenario. A classic feature film from the 80s, Fast Times At Ridgemont High (It’s getting hot at Ridgemont high school in VF) was chosen for the occasion. The performance will be broadcast live on Facebook and TikTok.
A comeback for a good cause
The goal of the exercise? Raise funds to support CORE (emergency aid charity) as well as the Reform Alliance collective, which helps the prison population. Many celebrities have also answered the call: Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey, Shia LaBeouf, Jimmy Kimmel, Morgan Freeman and Henry Golding will be in the game. The project is also supported by Sean Penn, who had a role in the film when it was released.
Nevertheless: the majority of spectators will only have eyes for the flagship duo of the 2000s. If they had met at the SAG Awards in January 2020 (and they seemed closer than ever then), their last meeting on the screen was on November 22, 2001. Brad Pitt had then made an appearance in the series Friends. He played Will, a former school buddy of Ross, who hated Rachel (the character played by Jennifer Aniston). A hilarious episode to watch again!
