Jēkabpils and Jūrmala teams will go to Daugavpils in “Credit24” master league matches

This week, within the framework of the “Credit24” championship, “Daugavpils University” / “Ezerzeme” (DU / “Ezerzeme”) will play two games on their field, which will be the opening matches of the season in Daugavpils.
According to the restrictive regulations of Covid-19, which had been adopted by Daugavpils City Council after the outbreak in the city and which did not allow either DU / “Ezerzeme” or the Baltic Women’s Volleyball League (BSVL) club from Daugavpils city VK “miLATss” to play on their field, these cities teams will have the first battles of the season on their field in the Baltics.
Opponents will be strong – the two best Latvian teams of the last years – SK “Jēkabpils Lūši” and “RTU Robežsardze” / “Jūrmala”. On Saturday, Daugavpils residents will host Jūrmala, but on Sunday in the neighborhood fight – Jēkabpils unit.
Due to the restrictive measures of Covid-19 in the city, Daugavpils residents have spent the least amount of time in the league – only three, in which they have not been able to score points. Meanwhile, the Jēkabpils team with 13 points in six games takes the second place, but the Jūrmala club with eight points in the same battles – the fifth place among 10 teams.
Sunday’s game between Daugavpils and Jēkabpils teams will be broadcast live on the Internet by the website “Sportacentrs.com”.
