Jeddah: The municipality of Jeddah has started operations to repair the damage caused by the heavy rains. Many teams have been assigned on the field for this purpose. It is estimated that more than 60mm of rain has fallen in Jeddah as of noon.
The municipality said that 2,564 workers have been assigned and 960 machines have been set up to remove water and debris from the streets. The removal of water from water bodies in many places has begun.
The municipality also said that rain relief activities are underway at 16 offices in Baladia and 13 rescue centres.
