Things are moving at JBL. Indeed the brand has just marketed a new audio product dedicated to the most audiophiles among you. This novelty is the portable DAB / DAB + / FM radio speaker JBL Tuner XL.
This time JBL offers a radio speaker that can be walked from one room to another in the house to allow you to listen to your favorite radio station. Whether you’re in the kitchen and in the garden or in your DIY workshop, you don’t necessarily want to turn on your hi-fi system.

This new radio speaker could be compared to a portable audio solution that will follow you around your household activities.
The radio speaker incorporates a DAB / DAB + / FM Radio tuner, but also Bluetooth. In addition, on the top of the radio speaker, JBL introduced a whole control panel with touch buttons that allow you to interact with the radio. Adjusting the sound volume, scanning the different radio stations, selecting the DAB / DSAB + / FM or Bluetooth source.

The radio speaker is also equipped with a large LCD screen which will display information. A removable outdoor antenna is also present.
JBL announces an autonomy of up to 15 hours. In addition, the speaker is also IPX7 certified, which makes it splash proof. In terms of its power, it is 10 Watts RMS provided by a single 69mm speaker.
In terms of Bluetooth, there is Bluetooth® 4.2 and support for A2DP V1.2, AVRCP V1.5 profiles. It will therefore be possible to connect any smartphone, tablet or even laptop to enjoy your favorite songs. However, we regret that JBL has not integrated a microphone. In fact, this would have made it possible to take calls in “hands-free” mode as well.

JBL offers its JBL Tuner XL radio speaker at a price of 149 €. This is already marketed and available from the brand’s partners.
