Local transport plan is an issue in the Gottenheim council / committee sees the situation at the train station with several bus stops as critical.
Next stop: Gottenheim central bus station – what currently sounds like a carnival gag could soon become a reality: According to the plans of the Freiburg Regional Transport Association (ZRF), three new bus lines are to start and end in the narrow Bahnhofstrasse Tuniberggemeinde have. The draft for the local transport plan 2021 to 26 is currently in the consultation phase. ZRF Managing Director Uwe Schade presented the plans to the Gottenheim Council and promised to take the concerns with him.

After the electrification of the Breisgau S-Bahn, Gottenheim is the central connection point for the lines from Breisach and Endingen to Freiburg. At least in theory, there should be hardly any changes in the converted station, the S-Bahn should be coupled in the direction of Freiburg and fled on the way back. However, since the technology only works very unreliably, passengers may have to change at short notice. The station is actually not designed for that.
