The nanny said that she reported at least three episodes of aggression to the child’s mother, Monique Medeiros.

Monique and the councilman Dr. Jairinho (without party) they are investigated for their participation in the death of the 4-year-old boy on March 8. The couple was arrested on April 8 in Bangu, in the West Zone of Rio.

Testimony talks about the aggressions

On one of the occasions, on February 12, even though Monique Medeiros, who was five minutes away from home, learned of the abuse in real time by the employee, she did not return to the Majestic Condominium, in Barra da Tijuca. On that day, according to Thayná in the deposition, Monique left home at 2:30 pm to go to the gym and do her nails. She stated that Jairinho arrived home by surprise an hour later.

Still according to her, the councilor went to the couple’s room and would have called Henry.

In the sequence, Thayná said that she heard the boy calling “the aunt!”. Arriving in the room, she found the door closed and the television at high volume, above normal.

As soon as Henry left the room, Thayná would have called Monique and reported what the boy had told her. She also sent a video of the boy limping.

Still in the testimony, she said that Monique made a video call to Henry and the boy himself would have told his mother about the assaults who suffered. He would have asked Monique to get home soon.

Still at the deposition, at home she asked again what had happened and heard the nanny’s report again.

Thayná also said that the boy’s maternal grandmother learned about the aggressions and that she was scared. According to her, the grandmother asked whether Henry was lying or not.

Thayná also said that she was called by Thalita, Dr. Jairinho’s sister, to go to the couple’s attorney’s office after the boy’s death.

The nanny said that Jairinho and Monique often fought, almost every week, behind closed doors.

The investigators asked Thayná if she had ever received any gifts or money from Jairinho and Monique. According to the police, she said that won a bed after the first episode of violence he narrated.
