TvThe seventeenth season of the popular hospital series ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ will soon start in the United States. But lead actress Ellen Pompeo (50) has already indicated in Variety that this could be the last season.

Ellen Pompeo has played lead character Meredith Gray in the series ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ for fifteen years. However, she slowly starts to think about hanging her stethoscope on the hook for good, it sounds in Variety. “We don’t know yet when the show will really end,” she says. “But to be fair, it could be this year.”

Since the show bears her character’s name, it seems logical that when Ellen quits, the series will also come to an end. “I don’t just take that decision”, the actress explains. “We give a lot of people work and we have an enormous platform. I am very grateful for that. But I’m just weighing up what we can do creatively. ”

Fortunately, fans can still enjoy ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, because on November 12, the seventeenth season of the series will premiere in the United States. “I’m so terribly excited about this season,” Ellen continues. “It’s probably going to be one of our best seasons ever. And I know that sounds crazy, but it’s true.”
