The constitution of Pylyp Orlik, which will be brought to Ukraine for the first time, will be exhibited at the St. Sophia Cathedral in Kiev from August 16 to November 14. On Friday, May 28, reports Radio Liberty with reference to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.

“The constitution of Pylyp Orlik of 1710, a manuscript of Latin on paper from the National Archives of Sweden (Stockholm) and a mace, which according to legend belonged to Philip Orlik and Hetman Ivan Mazepa from the Linkoping City Library (Linkoping, Sweden), will be exhibited in two exhibition windows.” , – the message says.

The ministry noted that it will be possible to view the exhibition with an entrance ticket to Sofia Kievskaya, but given the public interest, the cost of the ticket may be changed.

Imprisoned on April 5, 1710. Should have been ratified by the Swedish king Charles XII, in case of his victory in the Northern War. Written in Latin and Old Ukrainian. Monument to Ukrainian political, philosophical and legal thought. It operated for four years, when Philip Orlik and the Zaporozhye Army fought for the lands of the Hetmanate. The document is saved in the Old Ukrainian language in Moscow and Latin in Sweden.
