JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Corona virus pandemic has affected the automotive industry as a whole. PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) even had to revise its new product launch schedule for 2020.
Attias Asril, General Manager of PT IAMI’s Marketing Division, said, one of the factors that caused the delay in launch was the application of Euro 4 (diesel car) exhaust emissions standards which were postponed a year.
Previously the implementation of Euro 4 is planned for April next year. However, Attias revealed that it had received information from Gaikindo regarding a circular from the Ministry of Environment stating the regulation was postponed until April 2022.

“The implementation of Euro 4 which has been postponed a year also has an impact on us. Because the new variants have followed Euro 4 regulations. So we definitely postponed the launch of new products, “said Attias, in a virtual discussion (6/26/2020).
Of the several Isuzu products, there are at least two models that are expected to get refreshment.
In the commercial vehicle segment, Isuzu is currently preparing the latest variant of Traga with changes on several sides.

Interior Isuzu mu-X Facelift.-
While the 3.0 liter variant has 237 hp and maximum torque of 380 Nm. Both are equipped with a choice of 6-speed automatic transmission, and a special 6-speed manual 1.9-liter variant.
To note, MU-X in Indonesia still carries a 2,499 cc diesel engine with an intercooler and Variable Geometry System Turbocharger (VGS) which is powered by 136 ps and 320 Nm of torque.
